Watercolours course with Joyce Townsend in Edinburgh
Thank you to everybody who participated in the course on 3rd October. We are grateful to the National Galleries of Scotland to have hosted this course and to Joyce Townsend for sharing your vast experience and knowledge.
Participants learned about materials, painting processes, examination methods, analytical techniques. light sensitivity, colour measurement and microfading.
We had the rare chance to take advantage of the Vaughan Bequest of Turner watercolours while they are in the conservation studio and unframed.

Hydrogels – Matt Cushman in Scotland
Two weeks of learning about Hydrogels with Matt Cushman in Edinburgh and Glasgow have come to an end. A big thank you to all the participants!
Thank you also to the wonderful teams at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and of the Kelvin Centre for Conservation at the University of Glasgow!
