International Academic Projects has offered short specialised training courses on the theory and practice of the conservation of art and antiquities, technical art issues and museum studies for over 30 years.
Over the years more than 100 different topics in the fields of conservation, technical art history, archaeology and museum studies have been taught by numerous experts. In this archive we have listed for you courses we have offered/will still offer in the future.

GELS logo for website archiveIn October 2017 IAP organised in association with Tate the conference ‘Gels in Conservation’. We uploaded the videos of the conference presentations, which can be watched here. The conference proceedings are published as printed pre-prints available here.

 

Pigment ID using Polarised Light Microscopy is a suite of files which was conceived and produced by the late Peter Mactaggart to help those using the polarising microscope to identify classic pigments. It provides information on traditional pigments and a key to help in their identification when viewed with a polarising microscope.
